Travelling to Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki International Airport (SKG) is served by scheduled direct flights to a number of European Cities including Zurich, London, Rome, Milan, Prague, Budapest, Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna etc. and several flights a day to Athens International Airport. In addition, during the time of the conference a number of Holiday Flights land in Thessaloniki destined to the nearby Halkidiki (Chalkidiki) Seaside Resort Region, from Scandinavia, Germany, UK, France and others.
The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is situated in the City Centre. A short taxi ride (20 min) will take you from the airport to the Symposium Venue and Hotels. Taxis in Greece are relatively inexpensive (approx. 10 EUR for the airport transfer). Busses run from the city centre to the airport every 20 minutes (single ticket costs 50 cents). Driving time could be doubled during rush hours.
